Building Resilience

Adam Ezekiel – Director of Students

Building Resilience: Post Pandemic

SPECIAL REPORT

Resilience is the capacity to face, overcome, be strengthened and transformed by adversity. Never before have parents needed the skills, the knowledge and the strategies to build resilience in their children as much as they do now.

“Resilience is key to addressing mental health issues. We need to allow our kids to experience adversity. There is a tendency to shield our kids because parents have become a bit over-protective.” Dr Michael Carr-Gregg

Building Resilience: Post Pandemic is a simple and clear article by School TV about developing the 7C’s to build resilience in young people.

The special report highlights:

  • Specific information about each of the 7C’s of Resilience.
  • Examples of ‘how adult carers can help?’
  • ‘Questions of consideration.’

The 7 C’s of Resilience are:

  • Competence
  • Confidence
  • Connection
  • Character
  • Contribution
  • Coping
  • Control
