From the Head of English
Emanuel School Writers’ Awards
On 3 November in the Millie Phillips Theatre, we held the Writers’ Awards Presentation Night, to reward students for their success with the written word. For each year group we awarded two prizes, the Most Dedicated award and the Writer of the Year award. The Most Dedicated award went to the student who made a commitment to improve and develop their writing throughout the year. These are students who draft and re-draft their work, who ask questions about how to improve their writing, who ask for feedback and act upon it, and often those who write for the love of writing, entering competitions and writing in their spare time. The Writer of the Year award went to the student who has produced the most consistently high quality of writing, who has most entertained and amazed us.
