From the kitchen of Beloved Brenda Shear
Grandma B’s Homemade Pickled Cucumbers
Ingredients
1 kg cucumbers
1 – 2 tbsp sugar
1 cup white vinegar
3/4 cup water
1 tbsp salt
5 bay leaves
10 pepper corns
2 cloves garlic
Directions
In a pot, bring water, sugar, vinegar, salt, bay leaves and peppercorns to the boil.
Place 2 cloves of garlic at the bottom of a cucumber jar.
Add the cucumbers.
Pour boiled liquid over cucumbers into the jar.
Leave to cool and then put lid of jar and place into the refrigerator.
