Hebrew Happenings

Year 1 students celebrated learning another letter of the Aleph Bet with ‘יום גלידה – Ice cream Day’. Through various tasks student acquired the letter ‘ל’ and enjoying delicious ice cream and writing about the experience.  

Morah Miri’s Year 2 students have been learning about clothing, learning to say and to write sentences using the verb ‘to wear’ and to combine as many adjectives as possible. They were engaging in creating and playing games on this topic and loved sharing their clothing style in the class fashion parade. 

Morah Martine’s Year 3 students have been expanding their Hebrew vocabulary, learning about food and how to apply adjectives correctly, creating PicCollages to display their knowledge. They also learnt how to describe what they liked to eat and drink for breakfast and dinner. After reading a book called ‘בינה רעבה – Binah is Hungry’ – the students worked in small groups creating Hebrew plays based on the same theme of the book.
