To mark UNICEF’s International Children’s Day this Sunday 20 November 2022, the Sydney Jewish Museum hosted a History LIVE Webinar for Primary School students. Last week, a group of Year 5 students created artworks for the webinar and filmed themselves asking questions for Kitty Lowinger, Holocaust survivor, Museum Guide and Emanuel School grandmother to respond to.

Kitty drew on her own lived experiences and wisdom to share messages of hope, courage, understanding and kindness to children to mark International Children’s Day. The class 5 Degania created Tikkun Olam themed messages and artwork and Orlando van der Starre created a thoughtful and powerful artwork Past-Present-Future.

Thank you to the class of 5 Degania and the following students who contributed to the Webinar: Arya Cohen, Gideon Cohen, Ella Cohen-Peace, Zac Churnin, Mikaela Garbuz, Joel Hersh, Noa Soutar and Orlando van der Starr.
